tuft&paw is: lightweight, almost "0" tracking, excellent in keeping odors down. I love it, and my cat, for these reasons. Fondly, Michael Horvich

A absolute game changer! Both my cat and I are huge fans of this litter! She transitioned to it with zero issues. The clumping is fantastic, and being able to flush the waste is such a convenient bonus. Best of all, thereβs barely any tracking around the house. Highly recommend!
T&Tuft & Paw1 week agoLuda, you and your cat have made our whole week! Thank you for the glowing review and the adorable photo. Weβre so glad the transition went smoothly and the clumping is working so well. Please keep the flushing details to our Care team, though. Weβre happy to share our full guidance for your home. Highly recommended right back at you!

For the price of this litter, I expected much better performance. The odor control is practically nonexistent. In fact, Iβve found that the smell is significantly worse than with traditional cat litter. Even when I scoop the litter box every single day, it still stinks!
Another major frustration is how difficult and time-consuming it is to scoop. Because of the shape of the litter, I have to constantly shake and sift the scoop just to separate the clean litter from the waste. What should be a quick, simple task takes forever unless I want to throw away a bunch of perfectly good litter.
I really wanted to like this product, especially considering its premium price, but Iβm extremely disappointed. Between the poor odor control and the hassle of scooping, I genuinely feel that traditional litter performs better at a fraction of the cost.
T&Tuft & Paw3 weeks agoThank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback, Jaden. We're sorry to hear the litter hasn't lived up to your expectations, especially when it comes to odor control and ease of scooping.
We know that's not the experience you're looking for, and we'd love the chance to learn more about your setup. We'll be reaching out personally to make things right and help find the best solution for your household, including the formula that's best equipped to tackle odors.
Thank you for giving us a shot and we appreciate the opportunity to help!
FAQs
How long does one bag last?
Generally, one bag will last for one month with one cat. Keep in mind other factors may influence your usage such as the size of your litter box, how deep you fill it, and how often your cat(s) use it.
What are the ingredients?
In true tuft + paw fashion, we put your cat first. Both Really Great Cat Litter formulas are simple with five safe ingredients.
Really Great Cat Litter, Charcoal: Soybean Fiber, Calcium Carbonate, Corn Starch, Pea Fiber, Activated Carbon.
Really Great Cat Litter, Lavender: Soybean Fiber, Calcium Carbonate, Corn Starch, Pea Fiber, Dried Lavender.
If it clumps, then how is it also flushable?
A small amount of liquid will cause it to harden slightly, but submerged in water it completely breaks down
Is it septic safe?
We have lots of septic customers, it works fine so long as you flush in small amounts at a time, it completely breaks down in water.
My plumber said never to flush anything
It disintegrates completely in water so it's fine unlike other "flushable" products that are just marketed like that.
I thought that you weren't supposed to flush cat waste because of Toxoplasmosis?
Toxoplasmosis is incredibly rare for indoor cats as it's obtained by eating infected rodents or birds: https://www.tuftandpaw.mom/blogs/cat-guides/toxoplasmosis-in-cats-everything-you-need-to-know But still a good idea for folks to check with their local municipalities to confirm restrictions.
Does this work with self-cleaning litter boxes?
Unfortunately the pellets don't work with most auto litter boxes
Our best seller Cove is a simple, all-in-one litter box that pairs well with Really Great Litter.
Does Really Great Cat Litter expire?
When unopened, Really Great Litter lasts 24 months from its production date, as indicated on the bag. Once opened, the bag should be used as soon as possible to benefit from peak performance. Store sealed in a dry, cool, and ventilated space.
